Take your pre-season endurance training up a notch in Craftsbury, VT
Runner’s Roost Endurance Camp is an all-in-one endurance training opportunity for middle and high school-aged female athletes. During each August session, campers will gain a competitive edge through a dynamic, cross-training regimen which embraces endurance activities including running, cycling, swimming, canoeing, hiking, and turtling.
The camp is timed accordingly to help young women prepare for fall running and sports seasons. Camp participants should expect a weekly running routine of anywhere from 15-35 miles, skill dependent. Workout accommodations can/will be tailored to each trainee.
Runner’s Roost Endurance Camp encourages participants to embrace the active lifestyle and outdoor setting of its northern Vermont location. Campers will make full use of all the Green Mountain state has to offer: the dirt roads, the woods, the mountains, the water, even the occasional moose crossings.

TESTIMONIALS
“Norrie’s camp reinforced running as a lifestyle, a time to play, and an outstanding way to make close friends. Almost 15 years later, the sport still brings me the greatest joy, the closest friends, and the biggest sense of adventure.Coach Norris’ slightly off-beat approach to training is great preparation for the high school race scene as well. He has a deep understanding of the high school athlete and goes over a lot of the basics throughout the week. The best part [of camp] was the team building. Throughout the week you are challenged in many ways (we had to run up Jay Peak, canoe for four miles, and search for a pint of Ben and Jerry’s with a “map”) and what I remember most was laying the foundations for the friends and teammates that I’m still in touch with. It was just the right balance of challenge and fun. I’d recommend it in a heartbeat!”
-Kerri Lyons, three year camper and three-time FCIAC cross country champion for Wilton High School and ran all four years at Cornell University.
“Camp in Vermont is one of my fondest memories [from] my high school experience. I remain incredibly close with a majority of the friends I initially made at camp, and we still reminisce about the time we spent in Craftsbury together. Though the workouts and runs we did there were oftentimes challenging, it was always the highlight of my summer. I cannot recommend it enough.”
-Grace Loh, three year camper and a two-time placer in the New England high school championship 1000 meters for Darien High School and ran all four years at Bucknell University.
“Our daughter not only improved her running skills and endurance, but enjoyed the friendships and camaraderie. Norrie and his camp offer a rare blend of seriousness about the sport, while welcoming all abilities.”
-Amy Bell, parent of two-time camper
